The house is made of two parts: a closed, timber-clad living volume and, beside it, a glass greenhouse rising through both floors. The greenhouse is both a buffer that warms and lights the interior and the house's garden, with planting continuing up through the floors and onto the roof. Stone paving, islands of lawn and rooflights tie the house to the landscape on a single grid.
