A café beneath a residential building in Bostancı, combining minimalism and brutalism: the original concrete ceiling and columns, white walls and a long white bar.

Arched shopfront with the 'Bel Sorso' sign, glazed frontage and customers seated outside.
Entrance and street front.
Seating area with a gallery wall of framed pictures, timber chairs, a concrete floor and a glass partition.
Seating and the picture wall.

Set beneath a residential building, the café stands apart from its neighbours with a lively, unconventional character. The existing concrete ceiling and columns were retained, and the walls unified in a light, airy white.

A long white bar gives the room focus and movement. Behind it, a grid of square shelving rises to the ceiling, adding a quiet elegance. The furniture follows the same restrained line: simple tables, simple chairs.

Black-framed glass partition with bar stools, a potted plant and a 'love.' poster on the wall.
Low-angle view of black steel shelving, burgundy panels and hanging mugs.
Shelf modules, up close.

The walls carry only paintings, hung together like a collage, a reminder that the café was also designed to host art events of every kind.
