A tiny house in the forest at Ağva, near a river and the coast: Siberian pine, stone floors and an interior where every inch counts, on a footprint of 3 by 8 metres.

Serenity in the Forest is a small house for weekend escapes. It sits in woodland near a river and the coast, enclosed by a garden fence of recycled bamboo, part of an effort to keep the project's impact on its surroundings small.
The house is 3 metres wide and 8 metres long. At this size every element does more than one job: the stair to the upper floor doubles as storage, and a hidden passage beneath it leads to the rooms at the back. The owner gains order, and an unexpected secluded corner.

The house is built in kiln-dried Siberian pine for its durability and strength. The floors are laid in traditional stone and mortar, a deliberate choice of natural materials and local building methods.
At the client's request, the upstairs bedroom has a low ceiling: its occupant is a petite, lightweight athlete. The low ceiling gives the room a sense of shelter, while large windows fill it with daylight and bring the forest inside.
