The Sultan Selim Cultural Centre stands in a dense, industrial neighbourhood. Its facade is a critical reflection of the chaos and disorder around it: originality and difference come first, and no two modules are the same. The metal refers to the district's industrial fabric, while bringing durability and a contemporary appearance.

The facade is assembled with an interlocking, self-locking connection system not used before. Because every module is different, assembly was a demanding, exacting process; each piece had to fit with all the others. The result is a surface whose character grows out of that very difficulty.
