The restoration of a listed stone building in Ortaköy, thought to date from the early 19th century: a pedimented cut-stone facade, a double-height shop under jack-arch ceilings, a mezzanine, a terrace and a garden.

Yıldız 26 is a small listed building on Taş Basamak Sokak in Ortaköy, its stone facade crowned by a pediment. Thought to date from the early 19th century, it is associated with Seyyid Ali Efendi, the Ottoman envoy to Paris. The building is derelict today; its restoration scheme was approved in 2026 by Istanbul's Regional Board No. III for the Conservation of Cultural Property.

In the approved scheme, the street facade is cut limestone, defined by mouldings, a frieze, the pediment and pilasters. Behind the shopfront lie a double-height shop, a mezzanine reached by an inner stair, and a back room. Ceilings are exposed jack arches; floors are natural stone. A terrace sits above the back room, with a rubble-walled garden beyond.
