A fish and chips restaurant in London, designed and built for a franchise: two glazed fronts on a corner site, mirrors that widen a narrow entrance, and historic walls stripped back.

Street frontage: Victorian terrace with Nemos on the corner

The concept began with a blue theme inspired by the animated film "Finding Nemo". On this corner site, both street fronts are glazed. Mirrors open up the narrow entrance, and because of the building's historic value, paint was stripped from the interior walls to reveal their original fabric.

The kitchen sits at the back, with the till and preparation areas at the front. The front counter is industrial in style, for hygiene and practicality, while cleaning, storage and cooking are kept to the rear. In summer, the front windows open fully to connect the restaurant with the street.

Interior: brick wall, track spots, pulley pendants and menu board
